Jonathan Shane, Partner 

 

Mr. Shane has expertise in operational and finance issues affecting software companies, financial institutions and insurance carriers as well as tax matters and financial restructuring.

 

Previously he was a Director at Vision Capital Advisors, LLC where he was in the Research and Investments Group. He also served on the valuation committee and the risk control committee. He also did underwriting and analysis for TiberiusRe a reinsurer of workers comp claims. Prior to Vision, Mr. Shane was a Managing Director at TIAA-CREF. Over the years some of his responsibilities included Portfolio Manager, Head of Quantitative Trading and Investment Systems Officer. He also was on the Valuation Committee.

 

Mr. Shane has an S.B. in Mechanical Engineering, an S.M. in Management and a Ph.D. (A.B.D.) in Finance and Economics all from M.I.T.

 

 

Christopher Wall, Partner

 

Mr. Wall brings expertise on growth and development of enterprise software, logistics and supply chain systems, emergent FinTech, InsureTech, and BlockChain systems. 

 

Previously, he was a Director at Vision Capital Advisors, LLC where he focused principal investing in technology, logistics, and FinTech. After 2008, his role included the assessment, restructuring, and monitoring of distressed portfolio assets and their sale to strategic acquirers, management groups, and the public markets.

 

Mr. Wall has a B.A. in Philosophy and Economics from Columbia University.

 

 

 

Steven Isaac, Venture Partner

 

Mr. Isaac is Founder and C.E.O. of XK Services, Inc. of Grove City Ohio. He was Senior Vice president of Ebix, Inc. after selling his company, Peak Performance to Ebix, Inc (a publicly traded company). He has served as CEO of Peak Performance Solutions, Inc., Bridium, Inc., ecDataFlow, Regents Electronic Commerce, Inc and has served on several Boards. He was a Senior Executive with three large insurance carriers. He has over 35 years of experience in the insurance and technology industries (public and private sectors).

 

He served as Director of EDS Insurance Services Division, Chief Information Officer for Willis Corroon and Chief Operating Officer for the Ohio Bureau of Worker's Compensation. He was the founder of the national information exchange services “Worker's Compensation Reporting Services” in a joint venture with EDS and IVANS.

 

Mr. Isaac is active with multiple trade associations and committees dealing with health care and worker's compensation issues. He participated on the Jackson Hole think tank committee addressing issues on the proposed National Healthcare Reform. He served on the Kentucky Assigned Risk Pool Board, Board Member of the PLRB, and was an Arbitrator for the Insurance Arbitration Forum.

 

The State of Ohio, under his managed care model, implemented electronic exchange technology, health care reform and other evolving technologies reducing over $60 million in year one of operations. He was appointed under the Clinton Administration to serve as an industry resource for the national health care reform effort. He has served as a Director for several privately held corporations. He has directed over 19 mergers and acquisition transactions and start-up companies in the public and private sectors.

 

Mr. Isaac has a BA in Business From Franklin University and an MBA from SUNY, Buffalo 

 

 

 

Mark Dorn, Venture Partner

 

Mr. Dorn has twenty years of insurance and technology experience with direct expertise in the risk/claims management and healthcare markets. His career includes serving as Partner and Vice President at Tillinghast / Towers Perrin, one of the world’s largest Insurance consulting firms. He has successfully founded, developed and sold two firms including DORN Technology Group, Inc. that was acquired by Policy Management Systems, now part of Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). 

Mr. Dorn invented the first commercial based claim/risk insurance management systems, now used by more than ten thousand users worldwide. Under Mr. Dorn’s leadership, RISKMASTER product received the Microsoft top five-finalist award for
thebestWindows based business application worldwide. In addition, Mr. Dorn received the Risk Management Product Of The Year Award for RISKMASTER/World an Internet product. Mr. Dorn also created the first risk management industry data standard used by hundreds of organizations to help manage millions of data records. Mr. Dorn has invented over thirty software programs for claims, risk and insurance and implemented over 1,500 client projects.

 

Mr. Dorn has a BS in Business Administration from Michigan State University
